Hi,
Why is Stupid Tourist Series being chosen in the first place?
It would be better phrase as ignorance tourist; Tourist have fun in taiwan series…
Dave
I’m glad you asked, Alice.
In a nutshell, I define stupid tourists as “essentially visitors who could not care less about the place they tour.”
But Taiwan is a culturally rich and dynamic island.
Often times, tourists may (and will!) unwittingly tread on a taboo or two – when excitedly experiencing the culture, lifestyle and people!
Even visitors from Asian countries where cultures can be quite similar.
Thus this tongue-in-cheek idea of the stupid tourist in Taiwan.
And I’m sharing here what
• real travel, practical tips
• tourists can do to steer away from such quirks of Taiwan
- and stay sane from embarrassment and culture shock!
Enjoy Taiwan! :)
