Many blogs about Taiwan are written by expat-teachers living in Taiwan, a majority of which are Caucasians. TaipeiDreams and TaipeiAlive however, look at Taipei, Taiwan from the perspective of a fellow Asian, a fellow Chinese.
As you would have read by now, my wife and I are Singaporeans. Although much differences exist between Singapore and Taiwan, both shared similarities as renowned “Asian tigers” economies, sharing Asian values in predominantly Chinese populations.

This website is never meant to be a “how-to-go-where-do-what-buy-what-eat-what” introduction to Taipei, Taiwan. Rather, I will show you glimpses and peeks of the Taiwanese people and their lives. Bring you to places tourists go, and to places they do not.
Instead of loading you with endless unglamorous “how-to, what-to, when-to” heavy details thick in a usual guidebook, I share of what excited, inspired or disappointed in the places I went, things I did, people I met and more..
I believe traveling is not just a “heady” experience – but one travels in greatness when one travels deeply with one’s heart, and experiences farther with one’s intuition and spirit.
