Clever bite-size serving for a low price! I tasted 1 cube for 4 seconds. Blame it on my sensitive tummy and lack of adventurous spirit in trying strange foods!

I took this as my tea-time snack. Balls mix was chewy though small and light-tasting even with the various flavours. Not too sweet. Was promising and good snack – but not a must-try for me.

Fun to try how different these drinks are from the Red Bull we’re familiar with! We could have energised ourselves up for our travelling with these drinks much earlier on in our tour! Must buy from Carrefour to keep in hotel fridge next time!

My secret? Add vegetables like Corn ( I tried Broccoli once but it tasted hard haha) for a tantalising yet not-too-oily delight! One of my favourite eats of Taiwan!

Not much Oysters for this “upsize” serving. Easy to eat. Tummy still has space for more stuff!

Simple fare – the Broth was thick in Garlic and Oyster fragrance. This version we tasted was so-so only. There are better ones around. We’ll try AhZhong’s MianXian next time round..

Milky taste – wish it could be sweeter. Quite refreshing!

35. Shrimp Dumpling Noodles Soup. Sour Vegetable Noodle Soup. GongWan Meatball Soup.

Place: XiMenDing
Price: TWD60. TWD40. TWD30.

... Delicious lunch before we fly home. Soup noodles variety. ...

…. Wife’s verdict ….

My Sour Veg Noodle was light and has good flavour. Shrimp Dumpling one was clear and fresh. I don’t really like the soft, chewy and rough texture of GongWan. Has a strong Pork smell too.

Refreshing! Noodles were tasty while Soups were fragant and clear! Grab a quick simple lunch I thought – but was I wrong. These Noodles were delicious! Yes, I too didn’t like the strange taste of GongWan Meatballs..
