Mad rush to check out!
Oops, it was lunchtime! We were supposed to check out our hotel by 1pm.
My wife called TS counter and informed them we would be late, and if need be, we’ll foot the TWD100 for an extra hour of room use.
We don’t want to miss the coach to the airport! :-(
If you’ve missed Part 1 of Day 7..
Or Part 1 of Day 5..
Or Part 1 of Day 4..
Or Part 1 of Day 3..
Or Part 1 of Day 2..
Or Part 1 of Day 1..
Exiting the Zoo, we took the MuZha line Mrt then main line back to XiMen Station. That’s it, we would have no more use for the stored-value Mrt YouYouKa Card. Returned our cards at the Station to get back our deposit and unused fare in cash.
Got ourselves a quick but late lunch of Noodles at a pleasant shop in XiMenDing.. Hmm, here was our last lunch meal in Taipei – and it was memorably tasty!
Grabbed a Pork Rice Dumpling each as takeaway for snacking in the airport.
Hurried to TS, showered and checked out our room. Spent the rest of the day interacting with the hotel manageress Ms Conney Su and her family. Conney offered to waive the extra hour surcharge as we had stayed with them for the last 6 nights. Great!
FreeGo van arrived to pick us up from HanZhong Street where TS was. In about twenty minutes we alighted to transfer to a coach. Most passengers were sleeping as the coach sped to the airport. We couldn’t sleep. We wouldn’t, actually.
Although we looked forward to continuing our activities back home, we couldn’t bear to rush out of Taipei..
At Terminal 1 of Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, we lingered to savour whatever we could of Taiwan. Ordered 2 expensive Coffee (about TWD120 each!) at a Cafe as we bited into the cold but delicious Rice Dumplings we bought.
Walked around but couldn’t find the Skytrain to Terminal 2 haha.. Did some window shopping before we finally checked in – reluctantly.
Good bye Taipei! Thank you so much for the week of honeymoon delight we had with you!
Excuse me dear reader, are you enjoying a cuppa or snacking as you’re reading – now? Want to check out what we drank and ate in our honeymoon?
