In 1991 when I lived and worked in Hsinzhu. A belated honeymoon Taipei with my wife in 2006. A fabulous re-visit tour in 2008, and in our upcoming trips there..
Beyond Taiwan travel, TaipeiDreams is a travelogue sown from my love for travel. The thrill of experiencing life beyond one’s shores.

Who’s TA?
TA is the shortened form of TaipeiAlive, a moniker I popularized in another travel forum. I volunteer there as a Taipei expert to help visitors enjoy the city.
Dave is my name. The living person behind this blog. :-)
Married in 2001, my wife and I are both Chinese citizens of Singapore. Born, bred, found love, worked in this sunny city. We make a simple living creating inspiration online in our creative web production venture.
Why Dave and TaipeiDreams?
I enjoy Taipei, Taiwan immensely. A people interesting. Natural scenery wonderfully made. A city alive.
It’s kinda hard to describe. There is an air and spirit refreshing and carefree in the island. I felt this in 1991. We felt it when we visited in our subsequent 2 trips.
My wife and I have been invigorated. And we’ll share this inspiring air with you within the snapshots and stories here.
In ways I called “hearty”. In intuition and inspiration. This is TaipeiDreams.
