Hi Hazel,

Thanks so much for sharing your experience on a wheelchair online. Am leaving for Taiwan for the CNY festive hols next week with my mum, 86 years old. As she had a back problem and could only walk for short stretches so I have requested a wheel chair for her. Glad to know Taiwan is wheelchair friendly and we will be visiting most of the places that you covered. Happy New Year, Gong Xi Fa Cai !!!

Cheers !

Hi,
Aha, took me some effort to track down that Hualien minsu. Here U go:

http://www.oceanbnb.idv.tw/index.htm

P.S. Being the nature of minsu, such family-run homestays are generally located off the beaten track than say, hotels in city.
The minsu owners will often be happy to fetch U from an agreed meeting point (e.g., railway train station).
Check with them in your booking. Have fun!

Hi,

Can I check with you on the Ocean B&B that was mentioned in the post? I'm trying to plan for a trip to Hualien and looking for a B&B. So far, the B&B are all inconvenient and i'm unable to find the Ocean B&B that was mentioned. Do you have the email or website that i can refer to? Thanks!
